The whole crew were up at 4.45am for a quick cuppa and rigging the lines to slip. We were away from the side at 5.45am with a whole gang of hardy well wishers to wave us off and take some remarkable dawn photos which were posted almost immediately!

We had a great sail, with a gentle swell and 15 knots of South Westerly wind, getting everything up for the first time . We even had a small vessel come out to video us off Hartlepool.

Gender neutral person overboard drills were carried out successfully and we docked at an awkward and tight starboard side berth alongside the Whitby fish docks at 17.00. A warm and friendly welcome from well wishers & harbour team. There was little time to enjoy the sights or a beer with another very early start.
